Twenty Years of AM in Aerospace

Now making regular contributions to Metal AM Magazine, Martin McMahon has written an article charting some of the successes within the aerospace sector using metal additive manufacturing. This covers everything from the first known qualified flying parts, to production of now standard items for the sector. This a sector that is known for it’s attention to detail and strong focus on risk factors, so the efforts that have been expended to gain acceptance of AM should never be under-appreciated .
